Model Bill and State-by-State Appliance Standards Analysis and Benefits
ASAP has published model legislation for a state appliance standards bill most years since 2001. A dozen states have enacted bills based on these models, some states having enacted two or more iterations. For details on products which may be considered in the next model bill or for an updated analysis of benefits, please contact Marianne DiMascio at mdimascio@standardsasap.org.
Click on a state below to bring up a pdf document that reports the individual state benefits from potential state energy efficiency standards for twelve products highlighted in our 2012 report, The Efficiency Boom: Cashing in on the Savings from Appliance Standards. The tables include energy consumption and dollar savings estimates for the twelve products, as well as estimates on avoided emissions and peak load capacity reductions.
The tables were last updated in 2012 and remain online for informational purposes only. If you would like a current savings table please contact Marianne DiMascio at mdimascio@standardsasap.org or 339-933-8140.
