On July 3, DOE’s office in charge of compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), published a document stating that a pending rule will withdraw light bulb definitions issued in January 2017. On August 6th or 7th, DOE’s NEPA office removed the document from its website with no explanation. ASAP had previously downloaded the document, which we believe is of significant interest to anyone concerned about potential efforts to weaken or narrow the 2020 light bulb standards.
